At least 3 Swans changes will be confirmed tonight when the teams are released at 6:25pm.
While an extended bench will be named due to the match taking place on Sunday, Ted Richards (suspension), Craig Bird (calf) and Kurt Tippett (hand) are definite outs for the crunch match against West Coast.
Jeremy Laidler will come in for Ted Richards as a like-for-like inclusion, while Issac Heeney is 99% guaranteed to come into the side on the back of some strong NEAFL form.
The big question is whether Mike Pyke will return. Hampered by injury, taking Pyke over to Perth would be a risk, but he would provide experience against Nic Natanui, having beaten him before.
Ben McGlynn will spend another week in the NEAFL, but Dan Robinson could also return to the seniors with another strong NEAFL performance.
Jack Hiscox is also a slight chance to come in, with his speed and endurance suiting the vast expanses of Patersons Stadium. He has also hit some good NEAFL form as well and should be considered.
With Jeremy McGovern out for the Eagles, there is no better chance for the Swans to beat the Eagles than now.
With the Eagles defence barely holding on due to injuries, the Swans should get across the line. But, football is a funny game and we all predicted that the Eagles would struggle without Mitch Brown and Eric Mackenzie.
Could this be another scalp for the undermanned Eagles?
